Congratulations to Warren Baczynski for winning Best of School at the South Suburban College Regional High School Student Art Exhibit. His work was a digital photograph, titled Gettysburg. Congratulations also go out to all of the other magnificent ABS participants: Janet Santoyo, Calie Edwards, Samah Rafati, Kaylee Rose, Shane Toomey, Cindy Rangel, Valeria Guzman, Jasmine Taylor, Amanda Paulsen, Kiersten Mahler, Rita Roberts, Mary Lippert, Sara Quattrocki, Sarah Al-Rashdan, Jonathon Peloquin, and Jill MacDonald.

Congratulations to the artists selected for the 2015 IHSAE High School Art Competition: Mary Lippert, Alexis Lyons, Emmi Kenny, and Kiersten Mahlers beautiful works were selected for display at the Zhou B Art Center Gallery! Well done, Astro Artists!

ATTENTION JUNIORS

Any Junior interested in attending the Moraine Valley College Fair on March 12th please see Mrs. OBrien in the counseling department for a permission form. There will be over 50 colleges represented and students will have the chance to speak to college admission counselors. Due to space, the field trip is limited to 40 students. The first 40 juniors to turn in their forms will be allowed to go. Dont miss out on this opportunity to start planning for your future.

CAREER ACADEMY
Mrs. Bennett
Minority High School Scholars Actuarial Academy - Illinois State University will run this unique weeklong summer program designed to help students learn more about the Actuarial Profession and the mathematics involved in this career. Students will work on mathematical projects, hear from practicing actuaries, visit local insurance companies and participate in other fun and educational activities. Students that are interested in a mathematics related career should contact Mrs. Bennett for more details about this exciting opportunity.

Clinical Engineering Field Trip - Advocate Christ Medical Center will host a career exploration event featuring Clinical Engineering on March 4th. Students will have the opportunity to find out what skills and education are necessary to prepare for a career in this field. Contact Mrs. Bennett if you are interested in attending. Space is limited!

Trades Expo - The Moraine Area Career System and the Chicago Carpenters Union will host a Trade Expo on March 10th. A wide variety of skilled Trade Professionals will provide information and hands on experiences for students that attend. Students that are interested in this career pathway should see Mrs. Bennett to for more information and to register for this field trip!
