CLASS RING INFORMATION FOR SOPHOMORES
Jostens will be in the FAC for Class Ring Presentations on Wed., 9/23/14 during the first 15 minutes of each lunch period. This is a brief presentation and you will receive your class ring packet. (Please attend during your lunch period only). If you have any questions, stop in the Activities Office. Mr. Rolland
GRIEF GROUP
There will be a Grief Group starting up in October. If you have lost someone special in your life and would like to be a part of an eight week support group,please come to the counseling office and talk with
Mrs. Alderden or Mr. Heaney. We will give you information about the group.

SOPHOMORES & JUNIORS
The PSAT is a test that is offered to Sophomores and Juniors only. Its great practice for standardized tests, you can receive college information, and Juniors can qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. Come to the counseling office to pick up a registration form. There are less than 100 spots left! Get your completed form & $17 in now!!!

BOOK CLUB
Book club will meet after school on Wednesday, September 24 in the LRC. We will be discussing the move and the book If I Stay. Everyone is welcome.

THE CHEERLEADING PROGRAM WILL HAVE TRYOUTS FOR ALL LEVELS ON THE FOLLOWING DATES:
Tuesday, October 28th 3:30-6:00
Wednesday, October 29th 3:30-6:00
Thursday, October 30th 3:30-6:00

Meet in the balcony at 3:30 each day in athletic clothing.
Anyone interested in trying out will need to pick up a tryout packet from the athletic office and bring it signed by a parent ON THE FIRST DAY in order to tryout or they will be sent home.

ATTENTION SENIORS
Moraine Valley Community College will be hosting an open house on September 30th at 6:30 for seniors interested in the Promise Meets Potential Program. This program is designed to assist high school seniors with the college planning process. It will also provide an introduction to college life, identify career paths and offer compass test prep. To RSVP contact Alyssa Humbles at humbles@morainevalley.edu or stop by counseling for more information.

ST. XAVIER UNIVERSITY & EASTERN ILLINOIS UNIVERSITY
Any senior students interested in St. Xavier University who have at least a 2.5 GPA and an 18 ACT should see Ms. Reiplinger in the counseling office before September 26th to schedule a possible on the spot admission session with a representative from the university.
All students interested in getting help with their personal statements should sign up in the counseling office to attend an after school personal statement writing workshop with Ms. Fawk and Ms. Kay beginning at 3:20 in the LRC October 7th.
On October 9ththere will be an on the spot admission session for all senior students interested in Eastern Illinois University. If you have between a 20-24 on your ACT and a GPA of 2.75-3.5, please see
Ms. Reiplinger to sign up for a time slot to see an admissions representative.
